Hello World

This is my first post on my new blog! Pretty excited!

As a newbie data viz enthusiast, I am gonna post about what I am learning but I’ll also make sure to sprinkle in some biology, which I can’t really get away from. Most of us biologists have been comparatively slow on the uptake in integrating with the data sciences while many other fields have raced ahead in harnessing data and understanding its trends. I’ve been a bench biologist (my profile) for the better part of two decades. Well, it’s never too late to start and there’s really tons of data being generated in biology now. I see data visualization as a great way to get the two to talk meaningfully!
